Contraband Charges

Two Arrested Sunday on Contraband Charges

Two women were arrested and charged with introduction of contraband into a penal facility last Sunday afternoon, according to LaSalle Parish Sheriff Scott Franklin.

A LaSalle Parish Deputy Sheriff responded to a call from LaSalle Correctional Center in Urania, LA, on Sunday afternoon July 14, 2013, regarding an attempt to bring contraband into the facility.

Upon arrival at LCC, deputies came in contact with the suspect, Raffinee Wilson, 26, of Donaldsonville, LA.  Wilson admitted that she had suspected marijuana on her person, and handed it over to the deputies.

Wilson had traveled to LCC with Qjuana Wilson, 22, also of Donaldsonville, LA, in a vehicle owned by Qjuana Wilson. The owner of the vehicle gave deputies consent to search the vehicle.

During the vehicle search, a small package, similar to the one found on Raffinee Wilson’s person, was found inside the vehicle.  The package contained suspected marijuana.

Both women were placed under arrest and charged with introduction of contraband into a penal facility.
