Another Man Arrested for Theft
LaSalle Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives made a second arrest in a theft case in the parish and arrested a man for introduction of contraband into a penal facility, Sheriff Scott Franklin said.
Friday, Oct. 17, 2014 another man was arrested in connection with several oilfield thefts in LaSalle Parish. Buel Timothy Gauthier, 44, of Pollock, LA was arrested by the U.S. Marshal’s Service in Rapides Parish based on warrants issued from LaSalle Parish, Franklin noted.
Gauthier had remained outside the reach of LaSalle Parish authorities; so, the Marshal’s Service was enlisted to locate and apprehend him.
Gauthier was transferred to the LaSalle Parish Sheriff’s Office and was booked into the parish jail on charges of felony theft over $1,500 and criminal conspiracy to commit felony theft over $1,500.
As of press time on Monday, October 20, 2014, Gauthier remained in the LaSalle Parish Jail awaiting a bond hearing on these charges.
