Baton Rouge Woman Arrested for Possession of Drugs in a Penal Facility
A 21-year-old woman from Baton Rouge, LA, was arrested Sunday, April 6, 2014, and charged with possession of drugs in a penal facility, according to Sheriff Scott Franklin.
LaSalle Parish Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call from LaSalle Correctional Facility in Urania, LA. Upon arrival, deputies found that Tarranicka D. Landry, 21, of Baton Rouge, LA, had entered the prison for visitation while in possession of illegal drugs that she apparently intended to distribute to inmates inside the facility.
Landry was placed under arrest at that time and taken to the LaSalle Parish Sheriff’s Office in Jena, LA, and booked into the parish jail on the charge of introduction of contraband into a penal facility.
Landry was allowed to bond out of jail on a $5,000 bond.
