Traffic Stop Leads to Narcotic Arrest

LaSalle Parish deputies made a traffic stop on LA 500 on Monday, April 4, 2016 and identified the vehicle occupants as Brandon Martin, 33, of Georgetown, LA, and David Hearon, 25, of Jena, LA.

Deputies discovered that the passenger of the vehicle, David Hearon, was wanted in Grant Parish and arrested him.

After receiving consent to search the vehicle, the deputies located suspected methamphetamine and suspected marijuana. Martin and Hearon were advised of their rights, but neither admitted ownership of the illegal substances. Martin was then also arrested.
Both Hearon and Martin were transported to the LaSalle Parish Jail in Jena, LA, for booking.

Martin was charged with possession of CDS II – methamphetamine, and possession of CDS I – marijuana. Bond was set at $7,500.

Hearon was charged with possession of CDS II – methamphetamine, possession of CDS I – marijuana, and as a fugitive of Grant Parish. Bond was set at $7,500.
