Traffic Stop Leads to Narcotic Arrest

A routine traffic stop for equipment violation last Saturday led to the arrest of a Baton Rouge man on illegal narcotic violations, according to LaSalle Parish Sheriff Scott Franklin.

After the K-9 deputy made the traffic stop, the driver was identified as Gary W. Creekkiller and during conversation Creekkiller admitted to drugs being inside of the vehicle.

The K-9 Deputy utilized his K-9 partner for an exterior search of the vehicle and yielded a positive alert. The Deputy began searching and located drug paraphernalia that contained suspected methamphetamine and marijuana.

Gary W. Creekkiller, age 50, of Baton Rouge, was arrested and transported to the LaSalle Parish Jail in Jena where he was booked for the charges of possession of CDS II methamphetamine, possession of CDS I marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and improper mirrors.
