Pineville Man Arrested in Connection with Burglaries
A 27-year-old Pineville, LA, man was arrested and charged in connection with burglaries in the Belah Community of LaSalle Parish. The burglaries occurred over the weekend of OCT 10-11, 2015, according to LaSalle Sheriff Scott Franklin.
On Sunday, October 11, 2015, at about 8:30 AM, the LaSalle Parish Sheriff’s Office received a call that a burglary had occurred at a private residence on Hwy 773 in the Belah Community of LaSalle Parish. During the investigation and evidence collection, responding deputies determined that the burglary had occurred while the residents were asleep.
During the processing of this scene, just before 10:00 AM, a call came into LaSalle Parish Sheriff’s Office reporting a burglary in progress at a residence about one mile away. The LaSalle Parish Sheriff’s Office dispatcher reported that the homeowner was in active pursuit of a suspect who was fleeing the scene on foot. More deputies were called to the area to assist in the pursuit and scene investigations.
The suspect was apprehended and revealed that he had stayed overnight with a friend in the Belah Community. A subsequent search of the friends’ property led to the discovery of property (electronics, medications, etc.) that had been stolen during the previous night. Recovery of the evidence resulted in felony burglary charges against the suspect.
Ryan Alan Seal, 27, of Pineville, was booked into LaSalle Parish Jail on charges of burglary of inhabited dwelling and three counts of simple burglary and at press time on Monday, October 19, 2015, was being held under $60,000.00 bond.
