Olla Man Arrested for Drug Distribution
A 26-year-old Olla man has been arrested and charged with drug distribution. The arrest follows a nearly six month long undercover operation by the LPSO Narcotics Department, Sheriff Scott Franklin said this week. The undercover operation encompassed all of LaSalle Parish.
On Wednesday, September 25, 2013, LPSO narcotic detectives traveled to Ouachita Parish to arrest the Olla man for distribution of methamphetamines. Along with Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Deputies, LPSO narcotic detectives served an arrest warrant for Logan Paul Franklin, age 26, at a residence in West Monroe, LA. Brittany Anderson, also of Olla, LA, was at the residence.
During the arrest, officers discovered illegal narcotic drugs at the residence. Both Franklin and Anderson were taken to the Ouachita Parish Jail and booked on drug charges.
Franklin was then transferred to the LaSalle Parish Jail and booked on LaSalle Parish charges for two counts of distribution of CDS II (methamphetamines), and criminal conspiracy to commit distribution of CDS II (methamphetamines).
Sheriff Franklin stated, “We’re going to continue to send a clear message to anyone seeking to sell drugs in this parish that their actions will not be tolerated.”
