No Knock Search

Two Men Arrested after No Knock Search Executed

Two men found themselves in the parish jail facing various charges after a No Knock Search warrant was served at a Jena, LA residence last week, according to LaSalle Sheriff Scott Franklin.
On the morning of Thursday, January 15, 2015, LPSO detectives and deputies went to 11838 US Hwy 84 to serve a No Knock Search for the arrest of Steven Eubanks. Eubanks was wanted for Probation Violation and Domestic Abuse Battery. Detectives and deputies entered the home, but did not find Eubanks. Detectives and deputies went to the neighboring residence asked for, and were given permission to search for Eubanks there. The search revealed Steven Eubanks hiding in a closet.
Detectives observed another male covered up and lying in a recliner.The male, identified as Nathan Nobles, appeared to be faking sleep and refused to get up. The detectives suspected that he might be concealing a weapon and removed a blanket. Nobles continued to lie in the recliner as if trying to conceal something.
When Nobles stood, a large folding knife was exposed. Nobles was asked to empty his pockets, which contained a smoking device and suspected methamphetamine inside of a black cloth folding knife scabbard.
Nobles was arrested, along with Steven Eubanks, and both were transported to the LPSO Jail for booking.
Steven Eubanks, age 42, of Jena, LA was charged with probation violation and domestic abuse battery and remained in custody as of press time on Monday, January 19, 2015.
Nathan Nobles, age 32, of Jena, LA was charged with possession of CDS II (methamphetamines) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $6,000, but Nobles remained in custody as of press time on Monday, January 19, 2015.
