Jena, LA Man Charged with Narcotics Distribution
A Jena man is behind bars for distribution of illegal drugs in LaSalle Parish, according to Sheriff Scott Franklin.
Following an extensive investigation Lance L. LaPrarie, 31, of Dianne Street in Jena, LA was arrested on Tuesday, August 26, 2014.
This arrest came as a result of a lengthy investigation into the illegal drug sales in southern LaSalle Parish. During this investigation, detectives obtained information that LaPrarie was selling illegal narcotic drugs in this area of the parish. Detectives soon gained evidence of the illegal drug sales, when LaPrarie sold drugs to an undercover operative working for the LaSalle Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division.
A warrant for LaPrarie’s arrest was issued and detectives found him incarcerated in Ouachita Parish, LA. He was transported back to LaSalle Parish where he was booked on the charges of distribution of CDS II, methamphetamines, two counts.
At a hearing in LaSalle Parish, LaPrarie’s bond was set at $60,000. He was then transferred back to Ouachita Parish to face additional charges.
