Marijuana plants seized from Tullos home Friday

Working with the Tullos Police Department, suspected marijuana plants were seized from a Tullos residence by detectives with the LaSalle Parish Sheriff’s Office last Friday, according to Sheriff Scott Franklin.
On Friday, June 21st LPSO detectives and deputies went to a residence on US Hwy 84 in Tullos after the Tullos Police Department received information of suspected marijuana plants being at the home.
LPSO detectives also held an outstanding arrest warrant through the town of Olla for Wetzel Nathanael Tomlinson, 27, of Tullos, a resident of the home.
After arriving detectives encountered a female identified as Stephanie Hamilton, 22, of Tullos, in the front yard, and she informed that Tomlinson was not there.
When Hamilton was asked about the plants, she informed detectives of them being in a room located to the far side of the kitchen. Three large potted plants of suspected marijuana with one smaller potted plant was observed.
Hamilton was taken into custody and admitted to knowing about the plants for about a month, and that she had moved the plants from the back porch to inside a couple days prior. Hamilton was transported to the LaSalle Parish Jail and booked on the charge of manufacture of CDS I marijuana.
Being that Wetzel Tomlinson was not at the home during the arrest of Hamilton, LPSO detectives obtained a warrant for his arrest on the charges of manufacture of CDS I marijuana, along with domestic abuse battery. Tomlinson had not been located as of press time on Monday.
