LPSO officers make two narcotic arrests

Officers with the LaSalle Parish Sheriff’s Office continue to make illegal narcotic arrests, taking drugs off the streets of our communities, Sheriff Scott Franklin said Monday.
On the night of Thursday, June 13, LPSO detectives stopped a car on McIntyre St in the Good Pine area due to observing an equipment violation.
The car was observed to have four occupants, and during the stop the occupant seated behind the passenger seat identified as Dylan Grice, age 25, of Georgetown, was asked to step out of the car.
When Grice got out, a plastic baggie was observed between the seat and door. Closer inspection of the baggie revealed that it contained suspected methamphetamine.
Grice admitted that the baggie belonged to him, and that the substance was methamphetamine. Grice was arrested and transported to the LaSalle Parish Jail to be booked on possession of CDS II methamphetamine.
Second Arrest
On Wednesday, June 12, agents with Louisiana Probation and Parole requested assistance at a residence on Ninth St. in Good Pine.
Once detectives arrived, Ricky Westbrook, age 54, and Dalton Poole, age 23, both of Jena, were being detained. An agent informed that both individuals were on probation and had located a suspected marijuana cigarette on Westbrook along with observing suspected narcotics in Poole’s bedroom.
Detectives continued searching Westbrook’s bedroom locating two baggies of suspected methamphetamine on the head board. A search of Poole’s bedroom revealed drug paraphernalia that contained suspected synthetic cannabinoids.
Both Westbrook and Poole were arrested and transported to the LaSalle Parish Jail for booking.
Ricky Westbrook was booked on the charges of possession of CDS II methamphetamine and possession of CDS I marijuana.
Dalton Poole was booked on the charges of possession of CDS I synthetic cannabinoids and possession of drug paraphernalia.
