A routine traffic stop in the Good Pine area last Saturday resulted in the arrest of a 21-year-old Jena man on multiple charges, according to LaSalle Sheriff Scott Franklin.
Shortly after midnight on Saturday, a LaSalle Parish deputy sheriff stopped a vehicle traveling east on U.S. 84 in Good Pine for a traffic violation.
Deputies received consent to search the vehicle and the passenger, identified as Christopher Morley Tiner, 21, of Jena, was asked to step out.
When Tiner stepped out, deputies observed suspected methamphetamine in the passenger seat and floorboard. Tiner became upset and tried to sweep the evidence off the seat.
Tiner was transported to the LaSalle Parish Jail in Jena for booking, and in the jail, deputies located part of a clear bag in Tiner’s mouth.
He was booked into jail on the charges of possession of CDS II – methamphetamine, obstruction of justice, introduction of contraband, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
