Jena Couple Arrested on Narcotic Charges
A Jena couple, arrested last week, faces multiple illegal narcotic charges, according to LaSalle Sheriff Scott Franklin.
On Thursday, July 31, 2014, LaSalle Parish Sheriff’s Office narcotic detectives arrived at the residence of Heather N. Kimball, 28, and William B. Brown, 30, to investigate complaints of illegal narcotic use in the presence of Kimball’s two children.
Once inside the residence, detectives observed Kimball attempting to hide suspected marijuana. A further search of the residence revealed that Kimball and Brown were in possession of marijuana and suspected methamphetamine.
Both Kimball and Brown of 1124 King Street #11, Jena, LA (Midway Community) were arrested. Kimball’s two children were released to a family member.
Charges on each are as follows:
Heather Kimball – possession of CDS I (marijuana), possession of CDS II (methamphetamine), possession of CDS in presence of minors, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
William Brown – possession of CDS I (marijuana), possession of CDS II, (methamphetamine), possession of CDS in the presence of minors, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is also being held on a parole violation.
As of press time Monday, August 4, 2014, the couple remained in the parish jail awaiting a bond hearing.
