Inmate Arrested on Felony Drug Charges
A 24-year-old inmate at the LaSalle Correctional Center in Urania, LA, has been charged with two felony drug crimes, according to Sheriff Scott Franklin.
The charges were made against Cary Paul Bilodeau of Denham Springs, LA, by narcotic detectives with the LaSalle Parish Sheriff’s Office on Monday, January 13, 2014.
During a dorm shakedown at LCC, officers found 12 bags of suspected marijuana and two smart phones in Bilodeau’s possession. LPSO narcotic detectives took control of the investigation and obtained an arrest warrant for Bilodeau. Bilodeau was charged with two felony counts: introduction of contraband into a penal facility; and possession of CDS I, marijuana, with intent to distribute.
As of press time, bond on these charges had not been set, but Bilodeau continues to be housed at the LaSalle Correctional Center.
