Jonesville, LA Man Faces Illegal Drug Charges

A 22-year-old Jonesville, LA man faces illegal drug and contraband charges resulting from a multi-agency investigation, Sheriff Scott Franklin said Monday.

LPSO narcotic detectives, working alongside agents from the Department of Homeland Security’s office of Inspector General, conducted an investigation into employees of the LaSalle Detention Facility; based on reports of illegal contraband being introduced into the prison in Jena, LA.

Detectives and agents arrived at the facility and began searching vehicles in the parking lot with an LPSO K-9. An odor of illegal narcotics was detected on a vehicle registered to a black male identified as Sueenveon T. Turner, 22, of Jonesville, LA.
