Drug transaction leads to the arrest of two Wednesday

After being informed that an illegal drug transaction involving methamphetamine was about to go down on a Jena business parking lot, LPSO detectives quickly moved into action resulting in the arrest of two people on illegal narcotic charges, Sheriff Scott Franklin said.
On the evening of Wednesday, July 24th, LPSO detectives were informed of an illegal drug transaction involving methamphetamine set to take place in a parking lot of a Jena business.
Detectives set up surveillance, and at the conclusion of the distribution a traffic stop was made on the vehicle involved.
The stop was made on Garan Road resulting in the arrests of Raine Kittlin, age 33, of Jena, along with Michael Whitehead, age 45, of Jonesville after evidence was obtained that both Kittlin and Whitehead were responsible for the distribution of methamphetamine.
