One Jena Man, Two from Grant Parish Arrested for Drug Possession
LaSalle Parish narcotic detectives arrested three men during a drug raid at a residence on Byrd Street in Jena, LA on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, according to LaSalle Parish Sheriff Scott Franklin.
The men were identified as Stephen Brent Dearmon, 45, of Jena, LA; Houston Gage Walker, 21, of Dry Prong, LA; and Dylon A. Thornhill, 17, of Colfax, LA.
The three were arrested when LPSO narcotic detectives searched the residence of Stephen Dearmon, at 1110 Byrd Street in Jena, LA. The basis for the search was a warrant issued as a result of an investigation into illegal drug possession at this residence. Detectives had gathered evidence suggesting the presence of illegal drugs at the home.
Officers detained the three men and searched them and the residence. The search revealed a large quantity of illegal drugs, including methamphetamines and cocaine; along with several other items of drug paraphernalia.
The men were placed under arrest and transported to the LaSalle Parish Jail and booked on the following charges:
Stephen Brent Dearmon: Possession of CDS II, methamphetamines, with the intent to distribute, and possession of CDS II, cocaine, with the intent to distribute. Bond was set at $60,000.
Houston Gage Walker: Possession of CDS II, methamphetamines, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $6,500.
Dylon A. Thornhill: Possession of drug paraphernalia. Released.
