LaSalle Man Arrested – Drug and Weapon Charges
A disturbance in the Mt. Sinai Community of LaSalle Parishon Friday night, February 13, 2015, led to the arrest of a LaSalle Parish man on drug and weapon charges, according to Sheriff Scott Franklin.
The LaSalle Parish Sheriff’s Office received a report around 7:22 PM, Friday night, of the disturbance and that Thomas Emmett Green, age 44 and currently on parole, was standing with a gun, in the front yard of1565 Searcy-Eden Road.
Deputies arrived on the scene within minutes of receiving the report, and saw Green standing in the doorway of the residence holding a firearm.Deputies commanded Green to put his weapon on the ground. Green complied and was immediately taken into custody.The house was searched, subsequent to the arrest.
Deputies took possession of the weapon, a Colt M4 carbine 22-caliber semi-automatic rifle. A substance, suspected to be methamphetamine, was found inside the residence and collected as evidence.
Green was transported to the LaSalle Parish Jail in Jena, LAand booked on charges of possession of CDS II, methamphetamine, possession of a firearm while in possession of CDS, and possession of firearm by a convicted felon.
A probation hold was also placed on Green, which means that no bond will be set.
