Antioch Couple Arrested for Illegal Drug Offenses

An Antioch Community couple was arrested on March 4th and charged with multiple illegal drug offenses.
LaSalle Parish Sheriff’s Office narcotics detectives went to the home of the couple for the purpose of serving two arrest warrants on Grady O. Jones, Jr., 31, for contempt of court.
As officers entered the residence, they noticed a strong odor of burned marijuana. Further investigation of this confirmed the detective’s suspicions that marijuana had been smoked inside this residence.
Upon searching the residence, detectives were able to locate suspected marijuana, suspected methamphetamines, and other drug paraphernalia items.
Jones and Samantha Peppers, 21, were both arrested and charged as follows:
Jones – possession of CDS I, marijuana; possession of CDS II, methamphetamines; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Peppers – possession of CDS I, marijuana, second offense; and possession of drug paraphernalia, second offense.
As of press time Monday morning, both remained in the parish jail. A parole hold, through the Louisiana Department of Probation and Parole, has been placed against Jones, and bond will be set for Peppers.
